This week, I decided to add something different to the Weekend Links. I’m going to feature the books I’ve read in addition to the blog posts and articles that I’ve enjoyed. During the rest of the summer I need to reduce the number of posts I publish each week and rounding up the books here saves publishing time and makes it all easier to showcase the ones worth reading. I’m also hoping that fewer published posts allows more reading time which equates to more books to feature. WIN + WIN + WIN.
Brandon and I are spending today down on the Ohio River at a RiverFest event. Depending on the area, we may or may not have cell signal. If we do, I’ll be sure to share a few snaps and stories on Instagram. Other than that, I’m hoping to spend Sunday by the pool again so I can soak in some more sun during this last month or so of summer. I’m hoping to get at least a splash of color on my pale self before summer ends and we have to start preparing for fall. Speaking of preparing for fall though, I have some great content planned for October and November!
1 // I love this post by Unveiled Wife about the Bible verses that guide how she and her husband manage their finances. Brandon and I try to do the same and it’s good to have this reminder.
2 // Ummm…YUM! Sugar + Cloth shared a peach cobbler that I’m dying to make. I’ve missed fresh peaches since moving from Georgia and this looks like a dessert I need on my plate asap.
3 // Hand Luggage Only gave me ALL the travel-induced cravings with this post about the foods you need to eat when you’re in Greece. Greece is already at the very tip top of my travel bucket list and this made me want to make it happen asap.
4 // The Kitchn shared a total beginner’s guide to indoor gardening that I love. It has really basic tips and advice but it does specify it’s for total beginners so what’d you expect?
Books I Read
1 // I struggled big-time to get into Tasa’s Song by Linda Kass. I found a groove with it about 20% through and ended up enjoying it. It didn’t blow me away, but it was good.
