Date Night: A Halloween Scavenger Hunt for Couples
Who’s up for a Halloween scavenger hunt?!
Y’all, I have been wracking my brain so hard trying to figure out just how exactly Brandon and I can still enjoy Halloween…without dressing up…without attending a party…without having children. It’s tough. It seems like everything I come across is either about going to a crazy scary haunted house (sorry, but you couldn’t pay me enough!), attending a dress-up party (which isn’t our thing), or kid-friendly events (which…well…obvi, right?). I was starting to feel really left out over this holiday and wondering, “What’s out there for us?” I mean, what’s out there for childless couples that want to enjoy the holiday without having the piss scared out of them with a bunch of teenagers at a raging haunted house downtown?
Then it struck me, I’ll plan a Halloween scavenger hunt! This way we can get outside, enjoy being around the festivities, but still have our own date thing going on. Brandon isn’t exactly 100% onboard with the idea quite yet but I’ll bring him around, I’m sure of it. 😉
Also, just because I’m a super nice person, I actually made this post about TWO Halloween-themed hunts.
Go ahead, pick your poison (see what I did there 😉 Ha!)
If you decide to go out on a hunt I’d love if if you’d share some of the pictures of your quest. You can share them on IG and use my hashtag #FarBeyondLove or you can post them to my Facebook page wall.
Here is the easy one…
If you’re the kind of person who is up for a challenge during their Halloween scavenger hunt then we put together another one just for you. Also, you’re totally my kind of people!
Brandon and I prefer to really get out there and explore and search when we’re on a hunt like this. I guess you could think of it sort of like PokemonGO but instead of looking for fictional Pokemon you’re looking for real stuff. This one will probably mean that you have to drive around a bit, get out of your car, and really dig in deep but fill a thermos with hot cider, pack some snacks, plan a scary music soundtrack, and take lots of pictures!
Oh, and remember, you don’t have to find the things on this last Halloween scavenger hunt in order although I highly recommend saving the last item for the end of the night so that you can toast to your victory!
And, one more time, if you take pictures of your adventure I’d love it if you shared them on IG using my hashtag #FarBeyondLove or posted them to my Facebook page wall.
Enjoy! And Happy (almost) Halloween!
