Friday Favorites #4

This weekend is a really well-deserved break because I spent last week writing over 1,000 pages at the office, editing a book about marriage, and proofreading a love letter for a friend who is trying to woo back a lost love (xx*fingers crossed*xx for love!). I ended up convincing myself that all of my hard work last week meant that I had earned a weekend of rest and relaxation (which I knew was going to translate to PS4 gaming and a shopping date with a girlfriend). Sometimes, that is exactly what you need.

I’m hoping to also squeeze in a pedicure although I may decide to just do it at home myself.

Now, here are a few of the things I’ve loved this week:

  1. These Parmesan Baked Tomatoes from JoCooks.
  2. This duckling-print popover shirt which I bought just for the fun print.
  3. My new pink shorts because, well, they are pink. 🙂
  4. Pinterest and menu planning (because I was able to buy groceries for a week for only $74!). Also, I pin great recipes so if you don’t follow me yet maybe you should change that.
  5. Ratchet and Clank for the PS4. This is definitely one of my favorite video game series (and it’s rated T for Teen). #DontJudge
  6. ABM’s Photo Ledge DIY post. This is basically the best way to “hang” photos without a million holes in the wall.
  7. This Summer Vegetable Tian from BudgetBytes.
  8. My new favorite rose gold aviator shades. (Bonus: right now they are on an unbelievable sale and you can grab them for only $8!).
  9. Instagram. (Yeah, lately I’ve started using it and it’s not half-bad).
  10. This bedside beauty station from A Girl, Obsessed. I’ve been thinking of doing something like this and I love her concept for it.
  11. OUR ANNIVERSARY!!! We celebrated 5-years of marriage on Thursday May, 12th so that was pretty much THE highlight of the week. I didn’t blog about it but we definitely celebrated it. 🙂

And now, a recap of a few pictures you may have missed this week on Instagram.

I hope you all had a happy week! Now, on to the next one which I hope to spend in Midtown. Maybe a trip to the park? I love that it’s warming up outside (finally).
