5 Reasons to Use CityPASS During Your Holiday Travel

Are you traveling this holiday season? Here are 5 great reasons to use CityPass to save money and still see all the sights!

Are you traveling during the holidays this year? We will be packing up in about 2 weeks to head south to Florida to spend time with family ’round the old Christmas tree. We’ve considered stopping in Tampa, FL (our old stomping ground) on the way back to Atlanta just to check in with old friends and see some of our favorite old sites.

We are still feeling a bit undecided but it’s going to come down to traffic and travel time. I’d love to be able to squeeze out at least a day or two because at one point, Tampa was LIFE.

We lived for the games, the parades, the clubs, the parties, and omg…the food! We did Guava-ween (back when it was still cool and adults-only) and Gasparilla. We cheered the Bucs, the Bolts, and the Rays. We ate in Channelside and partied in Ybor City. Of course…we toured the Florida Aquarium, Lowry Park Zoo, and other tourist attractions too.

I told Brandon that if we do decide to stop in Tampa Bay on our way back to Atlanta we need to grab a CityPASS for our days there so that we can see some of the attractions again without completely breaking our travel budget. With CityPASS you can save up to 54% off of admission and we all know how tight money is around this time of year.

The Tampa Bay CityPASS gets you access to:

  • Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
  • The Florida Aquarium
  • Lowry Park Zoo
  • Clearwater Marine Aquarium
  • Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI to the locals) OR Chihuly Collection

If you’re not heading to Tampa Bay this holiday season, don’t fret because CityPASS is available in multiple cities throughout the US and Canada (New York, Dallas, Boston, Atlanta, Toronto, etc). It’s a great way to make memories with your family. We once spent Christmas Day at Epcot Center in Orlando rather than spend Christmas Day at someone’s house. We toured the world together sipping hot cocoa, taking pictures, and listening to the Christmas Story read in the outdoor auditorium. It was amazing! Ever since then we’ve wanted to spend the holidays making travel memories and CityPASS is a great way to keep us doing that.

After you get your CityPASS vouchers, you can print them so you don’t have to worry about it not shipping in time for the holidays and CityPASS doesn’t have to be redeemed immediately so if your travel plans change at the last minute, well, no big deal.

CityPASS allows travelers to take advantage of these amazing benefits:

  1. An average savings of up to 50% when compared to Box Office Prices
  2. Skip lines at attractions
  3. Easy access booklets, just purchase and print
  4. Travel when you want, exchange vouchers within 6 months of purchase
  5. Visit attractions in any order on your own time, booklets valid for 9 days

CityPASS is available in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa Bay, and Toronto. Check out CityPASS here.
