13 Bible Verses About Fear

It’s that time of year again. It’s time for the witches, the goblins, and the ghouls to come out. The theatres start pushing horror movies and TV’s begin airing the old horror classics. People get excited about haunted houses and Halloween fright-night plans. Scary stories start flying off the shelves.

It’s time for everyone to be scared.

I don’t get it. I never have. Call me crazy but I’ve never understood the appeal of terror. I’ve never been one to seek out something scary for the sake of entertainment but I know that others do and to y’all I say, “You’re insane, but enjoy!” I’m terrified enough over real-life stuff like Isis and the shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon.  There’s just a lot of scary stuff out there in the world. It’s especially bad if we let it take over and control us. Fortunately, when it comes to fear God has a lot to say on the matter.
