10 Bible Verses to Remind You of God’s Love

Need a reminder? These are 10 of my favorite Bible verses to remind you of God's love for you.

Today I woke up with a need for reassurance of personal value and worth. I don’t why it happens but sometimes, it’s good to need a reminder that you are deeply and truly loved. I know I’m not alone in feeling that way so I thought today might be the perfect day to remind you all of the greatest love of all. We are often so focused on reminding others how much we love them that we neglect ourselves. We send flowers to our mothers, our sisters and our spouses. We buy boxes of chocolate for each other, go out on dates, send cards, and write sweet messages to each other as a long reminder of those three precious words, “I love you.”

The Bible is full of verses and stories about His great and enduring love for us. If you really want to read about love and hope I’d recommend reading the book of Ephesians as it is one of the most loving and hopeful books in the entire Bible.

I could share 100 verses with you here today but I decided, for the sake of brevity, to condense it to my top 10 favorites.

Bible verses to remind you of God’s love…

“…but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8

“In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” – 1 John 4:9 – 11

“Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations” – Deuteronomy 7:9

“So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” – Ephesians 3:17 – 19

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” – John 15:13

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:22 – 3:23

“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” – Zephaniah 3:17

“Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.” – 1 John 4:8

“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:38 – 39

And of course…one of everyone’s favorites…

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” – John 3:16 – 17
